Short-term, Paid Student Placement Opportunity:Digital Marketing – channel development.

Lab 915 Technologies Inc. is looking for a part-time, student placement funded via Experience Ventures. The objective of the project is to create a digital marketing strategy in preparation for coming out of stealth mode – including: email marketing, community building via social media, an investor dataroom, basic website SEO optimization, and reporting. The placement is up to a maximum of 80 hours (can be much less, if proficient) – on a flexible, part time basis – to be completed by January 30, 2026, for which the student will receive an $825 honorarium. You will be working with the company Founder: Jolanda Peters who has extensive retail marketing experience to help guide and direct the project in tandem with the candidate. Collaboration will also include working with another student who has been hired in a design capacity. It will be a shared 3-way collaborative effort to shape the project framework with a blue sky, aspirational focus. This is a role where you will have room to play and can use your marketing skills to make a real difference!


About You.

You are an experienced digital marketing specialist with expertise in email marketing, social media content and strategy, and website SEO. You can work independently while staying on task to accomplish specific goals and creative requirements solutions. The ability to communicate clearly and comfortably is a must. Other traits required for this opportunity include:

  • Passion for digital communications that creates unforgettable brand experiences
  • A tendency to think out-of-the-box as this is not a typical rehabilitative medtech brand
  • Proficient in social media platforms such as IG, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Knowledge in working with WordPress websites
  • Experience email marketing platforms such as: Mailchimp, MailPoet, etc.
  • Basic digital expertise ie: Google Workspace, Outlook, etc.
  • A Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (this means that international students are ineligible).
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
  • Enrolled in any full- or part-time program of post-secondary study in Canada (you do not need to be an SFU student to participate).
